Yolanda Alicia Castro
A native San Diegan, Yolanda retired after 27+ years of federal service, dedicated to the health and well-being of veterans. She has continuously led charitable efforts assisting those in need from her church to orphanages. Yolanda is the founding chair of GOTM's annual signature fundraising 5K run/walk event.
As a teacher of elementary students, Raquel has devoted fourteen years of working with students from low income families.
She began her career as a teacher's assistant, then an advocate for Latino students, finally accomplishing her lifelong dream of acquiring her teaching credential to make an even more compelling impact on children's lives.
Raquel is a mother of one son and lives in San Diego.
For over 40 years, Rose Marie Lozano worked as a nurse for the San Ysidro Health Center and private physicians before retiring. Equally through that time, she brought her skills to the Flying Samaritans and church events, favoring church activities fundraising for the past 20 years. Rosie currently resides in Chula Vista.
After serving as a bilingual educator for 9 years, Gloria joined the executive team of her family restaurant business until raising her children became her priority. Now with four adult children, she devotes her time to the life enrichment and career development of young adults. Gloria and her husband Bobby reside in Downtown San Diego.
Beginning a robust sales career in software and the telecommunications industries, Bobby took his skills to the recycling industry. For the last 28 years, his portfolio has spanned operations, human resources, and fiscal management. A father of four, Bobby resides with his wife in Downtown San Diego.
Monica is brings her accounting/finance skills to the clothing industry working for a company in Orange County. Married for 17 years, family life is devoted to the basketball pursuits of their high school son year round. Living with her family in Whittier, California, Monica spreads the rest of her time with the high school booster club, her friend's art craft business and Generations On The Move.
Dr. Maria Estela Castellanos
Trained as a Clinical Psychologist, Mary has been an educator for the past 30 years. She is currently employed at the community college and serves on various organizations at the state and local levels that promote the advancement of underrepresented students. In addition, she is a professor of Applied Psychology courses.
Estela Del Rio
Retiring from a 15 year career as a Junior Accountant, Estela has been serving the recycling industry for 3 years as an Environmental Coordinator. With two of her three children in college, and one ending high school, Estela commits her time as Board Member to the Whittier High Boys Basketball Booster Club as well as ours. She lives in Whittier with her husband and three kids.
